Hi Rahul, what a great presentation! I just can't stop laughing now. Please make sure your advisor doesn't get to see it. ;-)

the derivative of your "creativity + cynicism" curve is approaching tan(90) :) ... I think this not a sustainable growth ... I think you should keep the function differentiable :p ...
frankly ... cool stuff ..
have fun

@manish: Thanks. Too late though, the advisor has already seen it! I am still alive, however.
@upi: Hey dude, I don't know about creativity, but d(cynicism)/dt is certainly tan(90), all thanks to the IIT campus :)
Btw, did you find any interesting parallels with your life as a PhD student? ;-)
of course .. and very funny also ... the staring-@-100m thingy .. that was soooo freaking true ...
I used to believe that
"staring-@-infinity"
was my patented technique ... but I was surprised to see that you too had independently discovered it and were using its approximation, i.e. 100m, for improving performance :p ... praaattty cooolll ... :)

@upi: Yes, staring at infinity runs into problems of occlusion, e.g. trees or clouds always block my view of infinity. 100m, on the other hand, is usually easily possible :)
dude, this slideshow was simply too good! yeh 100m waali gaze toh maine bhee bahut use kee hai.. lagtaa hai, many phd students all over the world have independently discovered this technique...
@bansi: Thanks man! Seems like that 100m slide has touched a raw nerve in many students :) And here I was, thinking that I was the only one!
OMG!! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it!
Was laughing thru the whole thing.. :-)
@vandana: :-) Thanks!
Awesome stuff Rahul!
What a laugh riot... lots of parallels there.
@vipul: Thanks man. Care to compare notes? :)
Haha, nice shit. Was entertaining. I lol'd. Maybe I'll remember it for the next few hours, till it all disappears in a haze of monotonous memory.
